Claims Policy
CleanUp is aware that there will be times where things won’t go as planned, and recognizes that some services will not always be what was expected. If this happens, CleanUp is committed to resolving any issues for its community. With our Claims Policy, it is possible to be reimbursed for certain damages that are directly related to a service provided by a registered Cleaner using the CleanUp platform.
What Things Could Be Covered?
Physical damages to a home caused directly by the actions of a Cleaner will be assessed by CleanUp. In the event that the damage claim was accepted, CleanUp will provide a damages relief reasonable to that of the damage.
*CleanUp will only review claims on a case by case basis according to current policies, guidelines, and agreements. Any claim submissions outside of these parameters will not be considered.
What Things Are Not Covered?
Damage to the property caused by the Resident.
Damages, injuries, and losses unrelated to CleanUp services.
Damage to the property of a Cleaner or someone related to the Cleaner.
Treatment costs or medical bills resulting from an illness or injury or a chronic or pre-existing condition.
Injury to a Cleaner or Resident, or someone related to or residing with the Cleaner or Resident.
Property upgrades or home remodelations.
Parking fines, tickets, violations, fees, or parking costs (i.e. valet parking).
Submitting a Claim
In order to submit a claim, you have to fill out the CleanUp Claims Form. There, you must explain the incident and/or damage thoroughly and with extreme detail. Please include any relevant pictures, videos, receipts, screenshots, messages, or any other documentation that may support your claim.
To ensure the investigation of a claim is processed, all claims, and invoices (if applicable), have to be submitted within a seven (7) day period from the incident date. CleanUp takes claims and incidents very seriously, and will work diligently to solve such claims. CleanUp, as stated in the Terms of Service, is not liable for, including but not limited to, personal injury, injury to the Residents’ pets or property damage, and will not respond to claims done by a third party.
*It is important to note that this policy applies only to the home Resident and Cleaner that is utilizing the CleanUp platform. It does not apply to Cleaners or Residents that do not utilize the Cleanup platform.
